Terms & Conditions

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you and Amieur & Zgaljardic Ltd (company number pending), trading as Amieur & Zgaljardic, with our registered showroom at 66 Cleveland Street, Fitzrovia, London W1T 6LU. By commissioning a garment, booking a consultation, submitting an enquiry through our website, or registering for our Seasonal Commission Calendar, you agree to these terms. We recommend reading them in full before placing a commission. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will be happy to explain.

2. Commissions and Quotations

All prices displayed on our website and in our showroom represent starting prices and are indicative. The final price of any bespoke or made-to-measure commission depends on your choice of cloth, the complexity of the garment, any additional features or personalisation, and the number of fittings required. A formal quotation will be provided during your consultation and confirmed in writing before any work begins. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Cloth prices are subject to availability and may change if a specific cloth is discontinued or repriced by the mill between quotation and commission.

3. Deposits and Payment

A deposit of 50% of the quoted price is required before work begins on any bespoke commission. For made-to-measure commissions, full payment is required at the time of order. The remaining balance for bespoke commissions is due at the final fitting, before the garment is released. We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, and debit card. For commissions exceeding 1500 pounds, interest-free instalments may be available by prior arrangement. The deposit becomes non-refundable once cloth has been cut or ordered from the mill on your behalf, as bespoke garments are made to your individual measurements and cannot be resold.

4. The Lifetime Alterations Guarantee

Every bespoke suit, jacket, and overcoat commissioned from Amieur & Zgaljardic carries our Lifetime Alterations Guarantee. This means that for as long as you own the garment, we will alter it to accommodate changes in your body shape at no additional charge for labour. This guarantee reflects our belief that a bespoke garment is a long-term investment and our commitment to ensuring it serves you for years, not seasons.

The guarantee covers: alterations to accommodate natural changes in body weight and shape over time; taking in or letting out the waist, seat, and chest within the structural allowances built into the garment; sleeve and trouser length adjustments; and re-pressing and re-shaping after alterations.

The guarantee does not cover: damage caused by accident, misuse, improper storage, moth damage, or chemical exposure; alterations required as a result of modifications made by a third-party tailor (any third-party alteration voids the guarantee for the affected area of the garment); complete restyling of the garment such as changing a double-breasted jacket to single-breasted, narrowing lapels beyond the original seam allowance, or converting a two-piece to a three-piece; replacement of cloth, linings, buttons, or trimmings, which may be provided at cost if required during an alteration; and garments that have not been maintained in accordance with our care recommendations.

Structural allowances: our bespoke garments are constructed with generous seam allowances specifically to enable future alterations. Jackets typically include 1 to 1.5 inches of additional cloth at the side seams, centre back seam, and sleeve seams. Trousers include 1.5 to 2 inches at the waist and seat. These allowances define the maximum extent of any single alteration. If your requirements exceed the available structural allowance, we will advise you honestly and discuss options, which may include commissioning a new garment at a preferential rate.

To use the guarantee: contact us by telephone, email, or WhatsApp to arrange a fitting appointment. Bring the garment to our Cleveland Street showroom. We will assess the alteration required, confirm it falls within the guarantee, and provide an estimated completion date. Turnaround for guaranteed alterations is typically 2 to 4 weeks depending on complexity and workroom capacity.

The guarantee is personal to the original commissioner and is not transferable. It applies to bespoke commissions only and does not extend to made-to-measure garments, alterations-only work, or garments purchased from other makers.

5. Fittings and Attendance

Bespoke garments require a minimum of two fittings and typically three. Fittings are conducted at our Cleveland Street showroom by appointment. We offer a door-to-door fitting service for clients who cannot visit the showroom, subject to availability and a travel supplement. If you are unable to attend a scheduled fitting, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another client. If you fail to attend fittings within 90 days of notification that a fitting is ready, we reserve the right to complete the garment to the last-known measurements, release it for collection, and consider the commission fulfilled. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before exercising this right.

6. Timelines and Delivery

Estimated completion times are provided during your consultation and are guides rather than guarantees. Typical timelines are 10 to 14 weeks for a bespoke suit, 8 to 12 weeks for a bespoke jacket or overcoat, 6 to 8 weeks for made-to-measure garments, and 4 to 6 weeks for shirts. Timelines may be affected by cloth availability, fitting schedules, seasonal demand (our workroom is busiest in April to May and September to October), and the complexity of the commission. We will keep you informed of any significant delays and will never rush a garment at the expense of quality.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel a commission at any time before cloth has been cut by notifying us in writing. In this case, your deposit will be refunded in full. Once cloth has been cut or ordered from the mill on your behalf, the deposit is non-refundable as the materials cannot be reused for another client. If we are unable to complete a commission to a satisfactory standard, we will offer either a full refund or a re-make at no additional cost, at your choice. Made-to-measure orders cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed with the manufacturer.

8. Cloth and Materials

We source cloth from established British and European mills including Holland and Sherry, Scabal, Huddersfield Fine Worsteds, Fox Brothers, and others. While we hold a large selection of cloth in our showroom, some cloths are held at the mill and must be ordered specifically for your commission. Mill lead times vary from 1 to 4 weeks. In rare cases, a cloth may be discontinued between your consultation and the point of order. If this occurs, we will notify you immediately and work with you to select an equivalent alternative at the same price point. All cloth remains our property until the completed garment is paid for in full and released to you.

9. Garment Care and Maintenance

To maintain your garment in the best possible condition and to preserve the validity of the Lifetime Alterations Guarantee, we recommend: brushing the garment with a natural bristle clothes brush after each wearing; hanging on a wide wooden or padded hanger, never a wire hanger; allowing at least 24 hours between wearings to let the cloth recover its shape; dry cleaning sparingly and only when necessary as over-cleaning degrades cloth; storing out-of-season garments in breathable garment bags with cedar blocks for moth deterrence; and bringing the garment to us for pressing and inspection at least once a year. We offer a seasonal care service including pressing, inspection, and minor repairs.

10. Made-to-Measure Terms

Made-to-measure garments are produced by our partner manufacturers to your measurements and specifications. Unlike bespoke garments, they are not constructed in our own workroom. Made-to-measure commissions are subject to the manufacturer production terms and timelines. The Lifetime Alterations Guarantee does not apply to made-to-measure garments. Post-delivery alterations for made-to-measure garments are available at our standard alteration rates. Fit adjustments within 30 days of delivery are provided at a reduced rate as a gesture of goodwill.

11. Alterations Service

Our alterations service is available for garments made by Amieur and Zgaljardic and for garments made by other tailors and manufacturers. Alterations are quoted individually based on complexity. An assessment appointment is required before any work begins. We reserve the right to decline alterations that we believe would compromise the structural integrity or appearance of the garment, and will explain our reasoning if we do so. Alterations to garments made by other makers are not covered by any guarantee beyond the quality of the alteration work itself.

13. Data Protection

We collect personal data when you book a consultation, submit an enquiry, or register for our Seasonal Commission Calendar. This data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy. Your data is processed by HubSpot Inc. (our CRM and marketing platform) under a Data Processing Agreement that ensures your data is handled in compliance with UK GDPR. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. 14. Website Use

This website is provided for information and consultation booking purposes. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of information on this website, including prices, cloth descriptions, and service details, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Photographs of cloth and garments are representative and may vary from the actual product due to screen calibration, lighting conditions, and the natural variation inherent in woven cloth. We recommend visiting our showroom to see and feel cloth samples before commissioning.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any commission shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that commission. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from or in connection with a commission, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or damage to reputation.

16. Complaints and Disputes

We take pride in our work and aim to resolve any concerns promptly. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service or a completed garment, please contact us as soon as possible. We will arrange an appointment to inspect the garment and discuss your concerns. In most cases, we can resolve issues through additional fittings or adjustments. If we cannot reach a satisfactory resolution, you may refer the matter to an independent arbitrator or pursue your statutory rights. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. The current version will always be available on our website. Material changes will be communicated to existing clients. The terms that applied at the time of your commission will govern that commission.

Last updated: June 2026. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
