Always use wide, contoured wooden hangers that match your shoulder width - wire and plastic hangers will distort the shoulder line over time. Store suits in breathable garment bags, never plastic. Use cedar blocks or lavender sachets for moth prevention. Hang trousers by the cuff or use a trouser clamp hanger to maintain the crease.

Clean sparingly - a well-maintained suit needs dry cleaning only every 10 to 15 wears. Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth rather than sending the entire garment. When you do dry clean, use a specialist who understands bespoke construction. Over-cleaning strips the natural oils from wool and shortens the garment's life.

At the end of each season, have your garments professionally pressed, then store them in breathable covers. Heavier cloths (tweed, flannel, melton) should be stored away from direct sunlight.
