Is period dress compulsory at Goodwood Revival?
It is not enforced at the gate, but it is universally expected. Approximately 95% of the 150,000 attendees dress in period clothing. Arriving in modern dress is conspicuous and misses the entire spirit of the event. We strongly recommend committing fully.
Which decade should I choose for my Revival suit?
The 1950s silhouette is our most popular: double-breasted, wide peak lapels, generous drape in the chest, high-waisted pleated trousers. It is the most flattering of the three decades and the most versatile beyond Revival. The 1940s look is more austere, the 1960s more fashion-forward.
Can I wear a Revival suit to other events?
Yes. A well-cut 1950s double-breasted suit is entirely appropriate at any smart occasion. The wider lapels and higher waist are currently enjoying a resurgence. Several clients have commissioned Revival suits that became their favourite everyday garments.
What accessories complete the Revival look?

Festival of Speed has no dress code. The atmosphere is modern luxury automotive - supercar launches, F1 cars on the hillclimb, champagne in the paddock. A summer blazer or linen suit is ideal. Think of it as Henley for car enthusiasts.
